Launched in 1948 L'air Du Temps is a classic from Nina Ricci, which still holds as one of the best floral fragrances more than 70 years on. Created by master perfumer Francis Fabron, alongside Nina Ricci's son Robert, it helped launch Nina Ricci as a major fragrance house. The top notes are Carnation, Aldehydes, Rose, Neroli, Brazilian Rosewood, Peach and Bergamot; the heart of the fragrance is a stunning bouquet of notes, again lead by Carnation which is joined by Cloves, Gardenia, Jasmine, Ylang Ylang, Rose, Violet, Orris Root, Rosemary and Orchid. The base notes contain Spices, Iris, Oakmoss, Musk, Sandalwood, Benzoin, Amber, Vetiver and Cedar. The name, translated as "The Air of Time", is a light fragrance at the start, but as it develops it becomes something special, opening up into a truly stunning floral fragrance that is timeless, classy, beautiful and full of hope. In fact the hope of the fragrance has been incorporated into the bottle designs with the bottle adorned by a peace doves, a classic image representing the peace after the war. Elegant, modern, and long-lasting—ideal for the contemporary fragrance lover.
