In 2017 M. Micallef launched their Secrets Of Love collection, with one of the fragrances within the collection being Gourmet, a truly unique fragrance housed in a gorgeous bottle. The fragrance is regarded as a gender neutral amber spicy fragrance, but to just explain it as that really does it a disservice. The fragrance is instead a wood cabin on a winters day, roasting chest nuts on a wood stoked fire. It's an experience like few fragrance can manage. The top notes are Incense and Raspberry, and whilst they do make a short stay it's the notes that come after it that really leave a mark. They start from the middle notes, as Chestnut, Leather and Violet form the heart, with the Leather and Chestnuts combining to give off a roasted chestnut vibe. The base notes are Oud, Vanilla and Labdanum, which add a open wood fire feeling to the scent. It's extremely Smokey, until it dries down, leaving a long lasting Vanilla scent. This is one for those who want to stand out, be difference, and be unique. Elegant, modern, and long-lasting—ideal for the contemporary fragrance lover.
